21-year-old missing woman found, Henrico police still investigating incident

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Henrico County Police Division has reportedly found a missing 21-year-old woman after she was reportedly seen getting into a car with an unknown man over Labor Day weekend.
According to police, officers responded to the 2100 block of Elkridge Lane for the report of a missing woman at 11:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Officials said that 21-year-old Shaqouya Mayaja Anderson was reportedly last seen getting into a car with an unknown man in front of her residence on Elkridge Lane on Saturday, Aug. 31.
The initial investigation indicates that Anderson went on a date with the man before she went missing. Authorities said "it is unlike her not to communicate with her family," prompting a concern for her well-being.
Around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, police reported Anderson had been found safe and reunited with her family.
"Investigators will continue to look into the circumstances surrounding this incident," the release update reads. "At this time, no charges have been filed."
