46-year-old identified as man whose body was pulled from Appomattox River
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 46-year-old man has been identified as the man whose body was pulled from the Appomattox River in Chesterfield County on Monday.
On Thursday, July 24, Chesterfield Police identified 46-year-old John K. Morgan, who was experiencing homelessness, as the man whose body was found in the Appomattox River in the afternoon of Monday, July 21.
Officials were called to the 21500 block at 1:40 p.m. after receiving a call about a man seen floating in the river.
Police said Morgan's body was recovered from the water around 2:45 p.m. in the area of Archer Avenue by Chesterfield County Fire and EMS personnel.
There are no signs of foul play, according to officials.
