Greensville Army JROTC students distribute flags, express gratitude for veterans
GREENSVILLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A group of Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) students took to the Veterans Affairs Hospital on Friday to honor and thank servicemembers for the sacrifices they make every day.
JROTC students at Greensville County High School visited the hospital on Feb. 6 to express their gratitude to veterans and their service to the country. Students also distributed American flags during the visit as an expression of gratitude.
High school junior Kimmia Walton said she hopes the veterans would get "a good feeling" out of the visit as students recognized and honored their sacrifices for our country.
"Giving thanks back to them, I feel like they will feel great about it," Walton said.

The purpose of the visit is to simply say, "Thank you for your service," said Lt. Col. Timothy Jones, senior Army instructor at Greensville County High School.
"We're here to say thank you to our veterans who have served, our veterans who have sacrificed, our veterans who have shown dedication to their country," Jones said.
