Henrico County to host community meeting on Title V air permits

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Henrico County's Varina community is hosting a meeting to discuss the Title V air permits with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).

Varina District supervisor Tyrone E. Nelson will host a community meeting for the area to discuss Title V air permits with DEQ at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 26. The talk will be held at the Varina Area Library, located at 1875 New Market Road.

According to a Thursday release from Henrico County, the permits aim to improve compliance with the federal Clean Air Act by explaining what source facilities should do to control air pollution.

Residents will have the ability to attend the meeting in-person, online -- or by phone by calling 1-415-655-0002 and entering the access code 2305 442 641, and the passcode 56584236, if prompted.

In addition, the county recommends residents to submit questions in advance to dav127@henrico.gov or share them in the Webex chat feature.
