Hopewell Police arrest suspect after ‘peeping Tom’ incident

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- A suspect has been arrested in connection with a "peeping Tom" incident that took place earlier this month on Clay Street.

According to the Hopewell Police Department, officers responded to the 3200 block of Clay Street at 7:49 p.m. on Nov. 5, where they spoke to a resident who said an unknown man was looking into the window of an occupied home.

Although the man fled the residence before officers arrived, a suspect was taken into custody following a brief investigation.

Authorities said the suspect was charged on Nov. 15 with two misdemeanor counts of peeping into an occupied dwelling. He was taken to Riverside Regional Jail and granted a secured bond.
