Main Street Station Co-Working Space opens in Downtown Hopewell
HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Hopewell announced the opening of Main Street Station Co-Working Space, the city's first co-working facility.
According to a press release shared by the city on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 30, Main Street Station Co-Working Space is located at 117 S. Main St.
The facility reportedly welcomed its first tenants this week and is intended to support entrepreneurs, remote workers and small businesses in the community.
A city spokesperson said the facility is located in a fully renovated building that was originally built in the mid-1960s as a steel-craft manufacturing facility, which now "blends Hopewell's industrial heritage with modern functionality."
"Once home to a welding and machine shop, the building has been completely transformed into a contemporary co-working environment by owner Gerald Bosch, whose vision and investment brought the project to life," the city said in the press release.
The co-working space reportedly features 14 individual workstations, including six private offices and eight cubicles.

The space also gives tenants access to shared amenities, including a conference room, kitchenette, printer and scanner, as well as common areas.
"The opening of Main Street Station reflects growing demand for adaptable workspaces and underscores Hopewell’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment," the release reads. "Co-working spaces like this play a vital role in supporting startups, attracting remote professionals, and offering local businesses affordable, high-quality workspace options without long-term overhead costs."
