Man shot in the leg in Richmond’s Southside

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is in the hospital after he was shot in the leg in Richmond's Southside on Tuesday.
At about 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 1700 block of Chicago Avenue for report of a person shot.
When they arrived, officers found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg.
He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
