Overturned logging truck shuts down Prince George roadway

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- An overturned logging truck has shut down a Prince George County roadway Tuesday evening.

The crash was first reported at about 5:12 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, on James River Road near Flowerdew Hundred Road, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

As of 5:43 p.m., all lanes -- both eastbound and westbound -- are closed as first responders work to clear the scene.

Prince George County Fire and EMS said it had crews at the scene of a crash in the 14000 block of James River Road as of 5:20 p.m. Tuesday. It asked the public to avoid the area for the time being.
