Part of East Westover Avenue closes in Colonial Heights due to downed power line

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- Part of East Westover Avenue in Colonial Heights closed Thursday morning due to a downed power line, according to police.
At around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, the Colonial Heights Police Department announced on social media that East Westover Avenue was closed from Conduit Road to Colonial Court due to a downed power line.
Police said it is not known when the road will reopen, but said an update will be forthcoming.

As of 11 a.m. on Thursday, roughly 1,011 homes and businesses were without power in the area, according to Dominion Energy's outage map.
