17-year-old boy injured after being shot in Hopewell
HOPWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- A 17-year-old boy was injured after police say he was shot in the city of Hopewell on Tuesday night.
Just before 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, Hopewell Telecommunications received a call about a boy who had just been shot.
Officers arrived at the 100 block of E. Broadway Ave, where they found a 17-year-old boy with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to police.
The teenager was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to police, the suspect's identity is under investigation, and his whereabouts are unknown as of the time of reporting.
