2 men, 3 teens charged in deadly ‘criminal conspiracy’ in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Five people, including three teenagers, are facing charges in what police called a "criminal conspiracy" to rob and kill a 19-year-old man in Prince George County.
At about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12, officers with the Prince George County Police Department were called to the 4000 block of Brandywine Drive for report of a shooting.
When they arrived, officers found 19-year-old Dan’Quariahz Redd, who had been shot. He died at the scene.
Two months later, on Friday, Dec. 12, police announced that the investigation into this homicide had resulted in several arrests.

"Prince George County Detectives exhausted all investigative leads to bring not just the shooter to justice, but all who were complicit in this criminal conspiracy," police said in a Friday press release.
A total of five people were arrested, including one 14-year-old, two 15-year-olds, 18-year-old Jarius Ezikel Day of Hopewell and 22-year-old Shirazi Massaun Harrington of Chesterfield County.
Day has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery resulting in death, while Harrington was charged with aggravated murder, armed robbery resulting in death and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
All three teenagers face an identical set of charges: one count each of second-degree murder, armed robbery and brandishing, as well as two counts each of possession of a firearm by a juvenile and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

"Violent crime has no place in our community," Major Nicolas with Prince George Police said in the release. "The blatant disregard for human life is disturbing. As demonstrated through the course of this investigation, we are committed to holding accountable those who commit acts of violence, and also those who contribute in any way."
