2025 Richmond International Film Festival promises more than 160 new films

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- More than 160 new films are set to premiere during the 2025 Richmond International Film Festival (RIFF) in September.

RIFF, described by organizers as one of the Mid-Atlantic's largest international competitive film festivals, will "usher the spirit of Hollywood into RVA" once again, with 2025 festival dates set for Sept. 23 to Sept. 28.

In addition to many new film premieres, attendees can expect panels and Q&As, red carpet awards, mixers and nightly music performances from local, national and international talent.

Films to be shown at RIFF this year span a variety of genres and vary in length, from shorts to full-length features. The full schedule is available here. You can also check out this film guide for more information on the planned screenings.
