PHOTOS: Hanover firefighters rescue trapped kitten, help it get a forever home

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Not only did Hanover County firefighters recently rescue a trapped kitten, but they helped the little guy find a "furr"-ever home.

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, Engine 401 with the Ashland Volunteer Fire Company was contacted by a local family about a trapped kitten.

While fire officials did not specify the nature of the kitten's predicament, the firefighters were able to safely free them, according to the Hanover County Fire-EMS Department.

"We're happy to report that the kitten has found a forever home with the family who called us for help," fire officials said.

The Ashland Volunteer Fire Company said this little one's rescuers included two volunteer and one career firefighter.
