24-year-old charged with murder in connection to deadly shooting of 22-year-old in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 24-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection to the deadly shooting of a 22-year-old in Richmond back in early February.

Twenty-four-year-old Orlando Logan faces the charges of murder, use of a firearm, discharging a firearm in a public place and possession of a firearm by a violent felon in connection to a deadly shooting, according to the Richmond Police Department. He was indicted on March 14.

According to police, the charges come following the deadly shooting of 22-year-old Nathaniel Mangram of Richmond.

At 1:52 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, Richmond Police officers were called to the 1300 block of Coalter Street for the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they found Mangram lying down and unresponsive in the front yard of a building. Police said he had an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
