24th Annual Virginia Fly Fishing and Wine Festival returns to Meadow Event Park
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- You can cast a line and sip on some wine this weekend at the 24th Annual Virginia Fly Fishing and Wine Festival at Meadow Event Park. The two-day event spans from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, and will feature more than 90 vendors from across the country. Guests will be able to enjoy hands-on classes, lectures from fly fishing experts, and rod and reel manufacturers. "They'll be authors, national authors, that are flying in from all over the country to come here and give talks about fly fishing," said Beau Beasley, festival director. "We have classes to everything from the very beginner that doesn't know anything to very experienced flying groups that just want to take things to the next level. So, it's really open to everybody." General admission tickets start at $20, and include free wine tastings for anyone 21 and up. Children 16 and under are free with a paying adult. Select classes are not included in general admission, and can be booked online. Tickets can be bought online at the Virginia Fly Fishing and Wine Festival website or at the door.
