28-year-old woman charged with malicious wounding after domestic assault in Petersburg

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A woman has been charged with malicious wounding following a domestic disturbance on Tuesday in Petersburg.
On Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 2:46 a.m. Petersburg police responded to the 1200 block of Montgomery Avenue for a reported domestic disturbance.
When officers arrived, they found a man with non-life-threatening injuries from the assault, who was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.
According to Petersburg police, 28-year-old Elizabeth Steward was charged with malicious wounding and is being held without bond pending her court appearance.
