31-year-old dead after Coalter Street shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 31-year-old man is dead after police said he was shot on Coalter Street Saturday afternoon.

Richmond Police have identified 31-year-old K-Ron Washington, of Richmond, as the victim in a recent Coalter Street homicide.

On Saturday, May 31, at around 2:05 p.m. officers were called to the 1300 block of Coalter Street for a reported person down. When officers arrived they found Washington down on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds.

According to police, he was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died due to his injuries.
