33-year-old man arrested in connection to deadly Petersburg shooting

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- The Petersburg Bureau of Police recently worked with the United States Marshals fugitive Task Force, as well as the Norfolk Police Department, to arrest a man in connection to a deadly shooting that took place last month.

According to police, 33-year-old Howard Carlton Davis was wanted in connection with the shooting that occurred Tuesday, Feb. 25 in the 2100 Block of Jamestown Road -- which resulted in the death of a man.

Petersburg Bureau of Police said, "Davis has been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and is being held without bond."
