Bring your cats out to The Diamond for Toe Bean Tuesday
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Flying Squirrels are offering cat owners the chance to bring their feline friends to The Diamond for Toe Bean Tuesday.
People are encouraged to take their kitties out to the ballgame on Tuesday, May 27 -- the only requirements are for the cats to be contained in a secure travel carrier or on a well-fitted harness and leash. Click here to register your cat for entry into the event.
There will also be a donation drive taking place to benefit the Richmond SPCA starting on Wednesday, May 21, with bins located in the Flying Squirrels' front office. Items that are currently needed include wet or dry food, cat toys, unscented baby wipes, chicken or turkey Gerber baby food and fleece blankets.
On the day of the game, there will be donation bins outside the front gates, and anyone that donates will get a raffle ticket to win Flying Squirrels-related prizes.
The Flying Squirrels kicked off this announcement with a special visit from the Richmond SPCA and some of their adoptable kittens as they surprised several players:
