Chesterfield nonprofit’s first-ever Brunswick Stew fundraiser a big success
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Chesterfield County nonprofit dedicated to helping older residents live independently announced that its first-ever Brunswick Stew fundraiser sold over 350 quarts of stew. On Saturday, Jan. 18, the Shepherd’s Center of Chesterfield held its first-ever Brunswick Stew Fundraiser. Over 350 quarts of Brunswick Stew -- prepared by award-winning chef Chiles Cridlin of Wolf’s Revenge BBQ -- were sold during the event. The funds raised by stew sales will go towards the center's mission of improving the lives of older adults through volunteer services and educational opportunities. According to organizers, the Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service of Chesterfield helped fund this event.
