Chesterfield Police to enforce new traffic operation on Chippenham Parkway
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- On Thursday, March 13 Chesterfield County police will conduct a traffic enforcement operation on Chippenham Parkway.
This comes after a recent poll was conducted by county police which asked residents where they would like to see the next traffic enforcement take place.
According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, the poll had five options, however Chippenham Parkway won, receiving 233 of the over 900 votes casted.
This Thursday, additional officers will be patrolling Chippenham Parkway, and watching out to enforce things like speeding, reckless driving, seat belt use, impaired driving and mobile device use while driving.
The department says they encourage all drivers to buckle up, put devices down, obey posted speed limits and move over for emergency vehicles.
