Christmas morning apartment fire causes water damage in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Some residents are seeing water damage after an apartment fire in Chesterfield County on Christmas morning.

At 6 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25, crews with the Chesterfield County Fire and EMS responded to the 15200 block of Braeton Drive.

Upon arrival, firefighters located the fire on the balcony of a third-floor apartment. Crews were able to contain the fire to that apartment, per Chesterfield officials.

Several other units suffered water damage following the fire. The apartment where the fire broke out was also damaged.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
