HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Henrico County roadway is shut down Tuesday evening after a crash involving a dump truck damaged several power poles. The evening of Tuesday, Oct. 22, a single-vehicle crash involving a dump truck left several power poles damaged in the 4500 block of East Williamsburg Road, according to the Henrico County Police Division. This has resulted in power outages in the area. As of about 8 p.m., Williamsburg Road is closed between White Oak and Old Williamsburg roads and it will remain that way for several more hours, according to police. This is to allow Dominion Energy to both repair the poles and restore power. Drivers are encouraged to either use Interstate 64 or take Old Williamsburg Road to White Oak Road to avoid the closure.
