BUCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Did you feel it? A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded near the town of Dillwyn in Buckingham County Tuesday afternoon, with residents reporting they felt the shake in other Central Virginia areas.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake was located roughly four miles south of the town of Dillwyn in Buckingham County.

The earthquake reportedly occurred at 1:08 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, and its depth was recorded to be about 5 miles.
