Two men arrive at hospital with gunshot wounds after possible shooting reported in Richmond’s Carver area
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Two men arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds about half an hour after police said an armed person and possible shooting were reported on West Leigh Street in Richmond's Carver area Thursday evening.
At around 9:16 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 1300 block of W. Leigh Street for the report of an armed person and possible shooting.
When officers arrived on scene, they found evidence of a crime scene, but there were no victims on scene.
About 30 minutes later, Richmond Police were reportedly made aware that two men walked into a local hospital, both with apparent gunshot wounds.
Officials said one victim was initially thought to have life-threatening wounds, but was downgraded to non-life-threatening injuries by the hospital. The other man had a non-life-threatening wound, according to police.
