Enter for a chance to win in the Virginia Department of Agriculture’s photo contest

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) is hosting a photo contest starting next week all the way to May 20.
The announcement was made via the VDACS's Facebook account where they're encouraging photographers to submit their photos to the 2025 Virginia Agriculture Photo Contest.
The contest is comprised of several different categories that contestants may enter photos in, including:
- Fresh Catch
- Faces Around the Barnyard
- Fields
- Seasons of Agriculture
- Agricultural Technology
According to VDACS's website, those interested in entering the contest must take photos that best detail Virginia agriculture in the five categories above, then submit their photos to webmaster.vdacs@vdacs.virginia.gov by 11:59 p.m. on May 20.
The winner of the contest will receive a Virginia's Finest gift basket, which is valued at $100, and will be featured in the Virginia Agriculture magazine.
