Richmond churches unite for 31st annual Palm Sunday Parade
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Five churches came together for the 31st annual Palm Sunday Parade in Richmond.
On Sunday, March 29, five neighboring churches in Richmond from various denominations came together to celebrate Palm Sunday with a parade at the Stuart Circle.
The five churches call themselves the Stuart Circle Parish Council and have been working together for the past 50 years to host community events, such as the Palm Sunday Parade.
"It's an opportunity to bring together parishioners of all of our churches that are represented in the Council and we come today to celebrate Palm Sunday together," said Nancy Warman, chair of the Stuart Circle Parish Council and the director of Christ's ministry at Saint James's Episcopal Church "We have a wonderful time marching in the parade with the donkey, with the brass bands and it's really a form of celebration of this special liturgical day."

The Stuart Circle Parish Council first came together in 1969 and created a Palm Sunday Parade for the Richmond community.
"The Stewart Circle Parish Council is always very proud and thankful to be able to offer this event because we feel that it does one of our main purposes, and that is to bring us all together as a community of faithful people."
