EVENTS: Spring concerts, performances and more at The Cultural Arts Center in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Springtime calls for an exciting time at The Cultural Arts Center of Glen Allen featuring a wonderful lineup of concerts, performances, shows and more.

The Cultural Arts Center has an exciting lineup of events planned for the spring and 8News compiled a list, check it out below:

An Evening of Folk Music - Celebrating the Music of Tom Paxton

  • Friday, March 14 at 7 p.m.
  • Tickets are $35
  • According to The Cultural Arts Center, Tom Paxton will not be able to perform due to health issues. However, this event will feature Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, Tom Paxton's long time collaborators -- along with bassist Ira Gitlin and fiddler Bryan McDowel. In addition,  Susan Greenbaum and George Turman will be joining the performance as well. Music fans can expect to hear some of Tom Paxton's best hits from his 60-year musical journey.

Roberta Lea and The Best Kept Secret Band - Country Music Concert

  • Tuesday, March 18 at 7 p.m.
  • Tickets are $20
  • Roberta Lea and The Best Kept Secret Band are coming from Norfolk to bring Central Virginia a blend of contemporary country music. Singer/songwriter, Roberta Lea has been catching the attention of country music fans with her songs "Too Much of a Woman" and "Make Up Your Mind."

  • Thursday, March 20 at 6 p.m.
  • Free event
  • This event features the grand opening of four brand-new exhibitions. The gallery show is a great way to meet with the exhibit's artists to hear the inspirations behind their work and network with other local artisans while enjoying a wine and beer cash bar that benefits the ArtReach programs.

Swingtime featuring The Jive Aces

  • Sunday, March 30 at 3 p.m.
  • Tickets are $40
  • Catch a lively performance from one of the UK's top Jive & Swing bands, The Jive Aces. Averaging around 300 shows a year, this band is recognized as the first live band to make it to the final rounds of Britain's Got Talent. They will be performing classic hits like "When You're Smiling," "Mack The Knife" and "Sing, Sing, Sing" -- as well as originals from their albums like "La Dolce Vita."

Galumpha - "Art of Human Architecture" - Acrobatics and Comedy Show

  • Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m.
  • Tickets are $30
  • Enjoy an evening of live acrobatics, dance and choreography, visual effects and physical comedy as Galumpha brings a unique live performance. The performance trio brings a combination of imagination, art and entertainment to one place.

Desirée Roots - Outdoor Concert

  • Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m.
  • Tickets are $20
  • Desirée Roots, one of Richmond's top performers, will return for an outdoor concert at The Cultural Art Center. Desirée's music brings together a blend of Gospel, Blues, Jazz and Soul. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to enjoy the concert at the outdoor stage.
