Experience ‘MathAlive!’ before exhibit leaves Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- An immersive, touring exhibition focused on all things math is leaving the Science Museum of Virginia in mid-January. The “MathAlive!” exhibition is an interactive experience that will leave Richmond on Sunday, Jan. 12. It is designed to math a fun and memorable experience for children between 7 and 14 years old, according to the museum. Math enthusiast or not, this experience is a fun way to explore how math plays a role in music, movies, games, sports and more, according to the museum. MathAlive! Guests can interact with these elements and better understand how math is used throughout their lives, learning more about concepts like fractions, scales, percentages, dimensions and volume. The exhibit is presented in both English and Spanish. It is included in general admission to the museum. "MathAlive!" is produced by Evergreen Exhibitions, in collaboration with NASA, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, MATHCOUNTS, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Society of Women Engineers and MathMovesU.
