Firefighter injured after fire at Hanover laundromat
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A firefighter is in the hospital after a fire at a laundromat in Hanover County Saturday night.
The evening of Saturday, July 26, crews with Hanover Fire-EMS were called to the 520 block of South Washington Highway for a report of a structure fire at a laundromat.
Crews reportedly arrived within three minutes and found smoke coming from the building.
Firefighters battled the flames inside the building and were able to mark the incident under control in 20 minutes.
According to a spokesperson with the fire department, one firefighter was taken to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
There are no reported civilian injuries, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to Hanover Fire-EMS.
