Hadad’s Lake, Henrico property with water park bought by NC-based franchise development company for over $1 million
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hadad’s Lake, a large recreation center and waterpark in Henrico County's Varina area, was bought by a franchise development company for over $1 million, according to land records.
Following the auction for the property in April, broker Angela McClaine with Lifelong Realty, Inc. said Hadad's Lake was purchased.
The land was sold in two parcels to O.P. Holdings, LLC, an N.C.-based franchise development business.
The first parcel, located at 1140 Mill Road, covers most of the property with 29.6 acres and a 3,500-square-foot two-story house. It sold for $709,999 on June 30, according to land records.
The second parcel is 6.53 acres and is located just south at 7900 Osborne Turnpike. It includes most of the recreational facilities, including the water park, a 5,400-square-foot clubhouse, a 3,300-square-foot snack bar, a 1,500-square-foot screen porch picnic area and more.
Land records show the second parcel sold for $352,000 on June 16, making for a sale of $1,061,999 for the whole property.
McClaine said the buyer expects to release information to the public in the future regarding the plans for the property. 8News has reached out to O.P. Holdings, LLC, for comment.
This comes after the two-lot property went up for sale with a listing price of $975,000 back in June of 2023, and an auction was held for the smaller plot less than two years later in April of 2025.
