Hanover County residents warned of AT&T 9-1-1 service issues

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- AT&T Wireless released a warning for Hanover County on Monday, informing customers they may experience issues contacting 9-1-1. According to Hanover County Public Safety Emergency Communications, the county was contacted by AT&T Wireless advising customers in Hanover area with LTE/5G Services that they may experience some issue with contacting 9-1-1. The county confirmed that technicians are working to solve the issue as quick as possible. An alternative way to reach emergency services would be to use a cellphone of a different provider or use a landline phone. Callers are also advised to attempt to call the non-emergency number 804-365-6140. Updates will be provided as they become available.
