Hopewell to begin road paving on West City Point Road

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- The city of Hopewell will pave part of West City Point Road across two days, causing delays for drivers in the area.

The city will start paving West City Point Road between South 6th Avenue and South 3rd Avenue on Monday, June 9, and Tuesday, June 10, according to a press release.

Temporary traffic detours will take place to "guide local traffic safely through the construction zone," according to the city.

The city advises that drivers who must travel through the area should slow down and "proceed with caution to ensure the safety of both workers and drivers."
