House fire in Chesterfield started by vehicle blaze

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A house fire in Chesterfield County was started by a vehicle blaze fire near the home on Saturday morning.
Just before 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the 14300 block of Spring Gate Court.
According to fire officials, the fire was located close to a home and was a quickly upgraded to a house fire call.

Firefighters were able to put the fire out before it spread to the garage or home, and the house suffered siding damage, though no injuries were reported in connection with this incident.
Chesterfield Fire and EMS said firefighters discovered the fire broke out while the homeowner was jump-starting their vehicle.
