Juneteenth 2025 in Chesterfield County: Music, food, and more
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- To celebrate Juneteenth, Chesterfield County is recognizing the national holiday with several planned events and activities throughout the month of June.
Chesterfield County's Juneteenth Committee has planned a series of events and activities during the month June to acknowledge the history of the holiday.
Juneteenth 2025 Events
Soul of a Community
- Tuesday, June 3 from 2 to 3 p.m.
- Chesterfield Baptist Church, located at 16520 Hull Street Road in Moseley
- Free event, click here to register.
- This event will be presented by an educator with The Valentine Museum's Richmond History Talks, who will share how Black Richmonders have helped shape the River City and its region.
Storytelling, Song and Rhythm with the Soul Siblings
- Saturday, June 14 from 2 to 3 p.m.
- Midlothian Library, located at 100 Millworks Crossing in Midlothian
- Free event, click here to register.
- The sibling duo, Jarene and J. Ron Fleming will lead a selection of acapella songs grounded in Virginia gospel, blues, soul and African rhythms.
Juneteenth Celebration
- Saturday, June 14 from 2 to 5 p.m.
- Ettrick Park, located at 20621 Woodpecker Road in South Chesterfield
- Free event
- According to the county, attendees can learn more about the history of Juneteenth, as well as enjoy live music, food trucks, a bounce house and a gaming truck.
