Kings Dominion announces opening weekend date

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Kings Dominion & Soak City Waterpark will be open for the 2026 season on Saturday, March 28.

The park has released its 2026 operating calendar and announced that it will open for the upcoming season on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Details regarding events for the park will be announced in early 2026.

Kings Dominion is also celebrating the park's newest and record-breaking rollercoaster, Rapterra, for its nominations in USA Today's Best New Theme Park Attractions. Voting for this rollercoaster is open until Dec. 22, allowing fans the opportunity to give this ride national recognition.
