Kings Dominion, Soak City reopen after boil advisory lifted

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Kings Dominion and Soak City have reopened after a boil advisory was lifted for parts of Hanover County on Monday.

An announcement was posted to Facebook on Monday, June 23, informing people that Kings Dominion and its water park, Soak City, would reopen at 11 a.m.

The reason for the initial closure -- which lasted from Saturday, June 21 to Sunday, June 22 -- was a boil water advisory issued for the Doswell pressure zone in Hanover County due to a water main break.

Kings Dominion also noted that certain amenities might be delayed, and tickets purchased for June 21 and June 22 can be used for any public operating day during the 2025 season.
