Kitten stuck in storm drain rescued by Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Chesterfield County firefighters helped rescue a kitten trapped in a storm drain Friday night.
Crews with Chesterfield Fire and EMS received a call for a kitten stuck in a storm drain on River Tree Drive in Enon on the evening of Friday, June 13.
When firefighters arrived on the scene using Engine 218 and Truck 214, they found a tiny kitten trapped about 16 to 18 feet down in a drain filled with water.

Officials said crews were able to retrieve the kitten using a pool net borrowed from a nearby apartment complex.
According to crews, the kitten was "wet and scared, but otherwise okay."
