Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden closed due to power outage
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is closed on Sunday morning due to a power outage.
As of 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is closed due to a power outage in Henrico County's Lakeside area.
At 11 a.m. Sunday, the garden announced that it will be remain closed for the day while work is underway to restore power to the garden and the Lakeside community.
According to Dominion Energy, over 1,000 Henrico homes and businesses are without power on Sunday morning, as of the time of reporting.
The power outage in Henrico County was reportedly caused by a tree on the line, per Dominion Energy.
The garden will reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 28, according to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden staff.
