Man dies after reported single-vehicle crash on Chamberlayne Avenue in Richmond, police investigating
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was found dead following a reported single-vehicle crash in Richmond's Northside during Wednesday's early hours. In the aftermath, Richmond Police Major Crime detectives are investigating.
At 1:38 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for the report of a single-vehicle crash.
When officers arrived, they found a man who was unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initially, police said the Crash Team responded, but as the investigation developed, Major Crime Detectives were reportedly contacted and are now assisting with the investigation.
