Man found dead after shooting in Gilpin Court
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was found dead on Thursday morning after a shooting in Richmond's Gilpin Court.
According to the Richmond Police Department, officers responded to the 1000 block of St. James Street at 10:27 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, for the report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
According to police, "detectives have no indication that this incident is connected" to a shooting that happened a day earlier, April 8, at 7:16 p.m. on Charity Street -- just a short distance away from St. James Street.
