Man injured after a shooting at a Chesterfield Wawa

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is suffering from life-threatening injuries after a report of a shooting in the 7500 block of Midlothian Turnpike.
On Saturday, May 17, Chesterfield Police responded to a report of a shooting at a Wawa on Midlothian Turnpike. The shooting occurred around 1:07 p.m.
According to police, when they arrived they found a man near the businesses entrance suffering from a gunshot injury. The victim was later transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police will continue their investigation into the incident, and ask anyone with information to contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251.
