Man injured in stabbing in Richmond’s Southside, female suspect taken into police custody

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is injured following a stabbing in Richmond's Southside Thursday evening, after which a female suspect was taken into custody by police.

At 7:09 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, Richmond Police officers responded to the 1400 block of Overlook Street for the report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a laceration on his left thigh. Police said he was treated at the scene by responders.

A female suspect -- who police have not yet identified -- was taken into custody by officials. Police have not yet released the charge or possible charges she faces.
