Man shot in Richmond’s Gilpin Court, suspect in custody
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is in the hospital and a possible suspect is in custody after a shooting in Richmond's Gilpin Court on Wednesday.
At about 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 1100 block of North 2nd Street for report of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found an unidentified man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of his life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the victim has since stabilized as of the time of reporting.
Police said a possible suspect has been taken into custody. Charges are pending, as the investigation is ongoing.
