Maymont’s Merry Market promises holiday cheer, dozens of local vendors

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A very merry holiday market is coming to Maymont Park in Richmond during the first weekend of December, featuring dozens of local vendors. Maymont's "Merry Market" will fill the Carriage House Lawn with holiday cheer from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8. According to Maymont, over 70 local artisans will be in attendance, selling a variety of handmade gifts. Alongside all the holiday shopping, there will be a holiday train to ride, make-your-own crafts to enjoy, hot cocoa to drink and sweet treats to eat. Visitors can warm up around the fire pit -- or, for adults, by grabbing a drink from the Winter Wonder Bar.
