Megan Moroney to make stop in Richmond as part of fan-focused album tour

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Country singer Megan Moroney will make a stop at Richmond's The National as part of the fan-focused celebration of her latest album.

On Friday, Feb. 13, Moroney's team announced “9 Cities. 9 Days." -- the fan-focused celebration of her latest album. The singer is set to make exclusive appearances in nine cities across the U.S. -- including in Richmond -- and perform songs at select stops.

The celebration will kick off in New York City on Friday, Feb. 20 -- the album's release date -- and will conclude on Feb. 28 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her Richmond appearance will take place at Richmond's The National on Saturday, Feb. 21.

“When I thought about the release of 'Cloud 9,' I knew I wanted to spend it with my fans,” Moroney said in a press release. “They’re the reason I get to do this, and I’m so excited to celebrate this album with them!”

According to a release, “9 Cities. 9 Days.” will give fans what is described as "the ultra-rare opportunity" to meet Moroney in intimate venues.

She will travel by bus and join fans to celebrate the album's release, the release states.

Tickets will cost $9 and will be available at the venue box office beginning at 9 a.m. on the morning of the event, with a limit of two tickets per person.

Some ticket proceeds will go toward The Megan Moroney Foundation, a non-profit organization that addresses bullying and raises awareness for mental health, per a release.
