Missing 16-year-old boy last seen in Kilmarnock found, CODI Alert canceled

KILMARNOCK, Va. (WRIC) -- Virginia State Police issued a CODI Alert on Sunday for a 16-year-old boy last seen in Kilmarnock.

At around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, Virginia State Police said it had issued a CODI Alert on behalf of the Kilmarnock Police Department which was looking for a 16-year-old boy.

According to authorities, the boy was last seen on foot at around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 on Hatton Avenue in the Town of Kilmarnock, located in the counties of Lancaster and Northumberland.

According to officials, his disappearance posed a credible threat to his health and safety.

At 1 p.m. on Sunday, state police said the child had been located safe and the CODI Alert was canceled.
