Museum Skills: Historic Artifacts

The first program in a series that focuses on children learning different museum- and history-related skills. Participants will learn about the importance of historical objects by looking at examples housed at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture for the Un/bound: Free Black Virginians exhibit, discussing why objects are important to preserve and learning how to properly assess, handle and display a real historical object.

This program is for ages 9-13. All registrants must be accompanied by an adult. This is a City of Fairfax VA250th Commemoration program. Register on the City’s website: https://www.fairfaxva.gov/Events-directory/Historic-Resources/Museum-Skills-Historic-Artifacts
