New TJ Maxx opening in North Chesterfield in March
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A new TJ Maxx is set to open in North Chesterfield in early March, with deals on brand names and designer fashion, according to officials.
TJ Maxx officials announced on Thursday, Feb. 19, that the new 29,970 square feet store will open at 8 a.m. at the Pocono Crossing shopping center on Midlothian Turnpike in North Chesterfield on Thursday, March 5.
According to officials, local shoppers in North Chesterfield can celebrate their newest location, which is set to feature big savings on brand-name and designer fashion, accessories, jewelry, home, beauty and more.

The new store will also have spacious dressing rooms, a single line queue for faster checkout and an "easy to shop layout," officials said.
“We’re thrilled to join the North Chesterfield community,” said Nancy Carpenter, president of TJ Maxx. “We look forward to providing local shoppers with an ever-changing selection of high-quality merchandise at exceptional value so they can express their true ‘maxx’ selves.”
TJ Maxx will contribute to the local community by donating $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club Metro Richmond. The new store will also join all other stores across the U.S. in sponsoring Save the Children’s U.S. Programs through TJ Maxx’s annual in-store fundraising campaign, per a release.
Officials previously announced the new store back in September 2025, saying the new store is not the only retail location coming to Pocono Crossing. A new HomeGoods location will also open on March 5, per officials.
