One person fighting for their life, four others injured after shooting inside Chesterfield bar
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- One person is fighting for their life and four others are injured following a shooting that took place inside Shamrock Pub in Chesterfield County Sunday evening. Police said around 11:30 p.m. on January 26, they responded to the 10000 block of Midlothian Turnpike. Police told 8News the shooting happened inside the Shamrock Pub off Midlothian Turnpike and Robious Road. Multiple people were found with gunshot wounds, and police say one victim had life-threatening injuries. All victims were taken to the hospital. Officials said the shooting was not random. Police were not able to give any details on a suspect and it’s unclear if an arrest has been made. The scene cleared at around 3 a.m. Monday morning, and employees of the Shamrock Pub did not want to speak to 8News. While responding to the shooting, police said a Chesterfield Police officer hit a utility pole near the intersection of North Courthouse Road and Reams Road. The officer was taken to the hospital where police said he was treated for minor injuries and released. Dominion Power responded to repair the pole, according to officials.
